Mid-year stocktake !!!

A whole bunch of bloggers are participating in a mid year stock take of their lives. I found this one through Jo at iCurvy who is one of my fave Aussie bloggers.
The middle of the year seems to be a good time to do a review of my life and see where things are at - to just step back and take stock.

So here it is, my 2014 mid year stocktake. It will be interesting to look back on this and see how it changes over the next 6 months/year/few years.

Making: Endless online wishlists... Modcloth, PinUp Girl, ASOS.

Cooking: Curries, homemade pizza.

Drinking: Water mostly, the occasional hot choc.

Reading: Lots of free books on my tablet. I mostly use Kindle. Some of the free books are a bit crap, but I’ve also managed to read some really good stuff.

Wanting: Red coat from City Chic, dresses from Modcloth.

Looking: At the snow on the mountains around Canberra.

Playing: Pharaoh/Cleopatra PC game. So old school, but I LOVE it.

Deciding: On how/where to spend our holiday later this year. Beach here I come.
Wishing: For a baby. I have been for so many years now.

Enjoying: Pizza. Man I love pizza. I swear I could eat it every single day and not get sick of it.

Waiting: For this TTC journey to finally work.

Liking: Charcoal pore strips - I love regular pore strips, but the charcoal ones are so much better at ripping the crap out of your face - and all the better for seeing it too.

Wondering: If I am ever going to get to have a baby. And feeling pretty scared that maybe it wont ever happen for us.
Loving: My husband. We're both struggling through this trying to conceive journey, but we're in it together and we're at a good place as a couple at the moment.

Pondering: How my life is nothing like what I thought it would be at this age. I'm about to turn 30. I thought I'd have a house and be almost done with having kids at this age. I don't have either of those things. It makes me really sad.

Considering: whether I can really live this far away from the beach. I miss seeing the ocean on a regular basis.
Watching: Offspring (hello Lawrence, when’d you get so damn fine) and Winners and Losers (please tell me Jonathon isnt really gone ?!?! sob)
Hoping: for a baby. (Are you seeing a theme here?) I want this so badly and trying and failing is killing me.

Marvelling: at my head/hearts ability to keep hoping, even after all this time.
Needing: to focus on something other than babies and trying to concieve.
Smelling: A chocolate perfume from Sephora.
Wearing: A big coat over everything cos this weather is so cold. Boots. Jeans.
Following: the Aussie Curves weekly challenges – I love seeing what all the ladies put together.
Noticing: that I am getting fitter.
Knowing: That somehow, no matter what happens, we’ll figure this out together and it will be ok one day.

Thinking:
positively – or at least, trying to.
Feeling: Content. Happy. Sad. Hopeful. Worried.
Admiring: All the fantastic looking coats/jackets/cold weather gear that are actually flattering – why do I always look like a frumpy eskimo?
Sorting: All the boring tax/super etc related crap

Buying: Hand cream for my poor winter cracked hands.

Getting: Excited for my birthday later this month.

Bookmarking: Recipes - mostly delicious looking cakes and slices.

Disliking: Wind that whips straight off the snow - it stings and everything just freezes.
Opening: personal emails constantly throughout the day – helps me get through my work day with a smile on my face.
Giggling: At How I Met Your Mother re-runs.
Snacking: Trying to eat well at the moment so not snacking much, but if I was it would be Rolo chocolate or Twix. Or chips. Or Turkish bread and dip. (Ok yeah, I’m a little hungry)
Coveting: An amazing, flattering va-voom wardrobe that's easy to just throw on without thinking too much.
Helping: As many clients as I can.
Hearing: Have been revisiting John Butler Trio ‘Grand National’ lately – have had it on repeat.
